SprainGuard

High arched feet (cavus feet) are prone to foot pain, calluses, stress fractures, and frequent lateral ankle sprains. High arched feet are associated with inversion of the heel (heel varus) which locks the midfoot and limits flexibility of the foot.

Sprain guard is a soft foam shoe insert with a lateral foot wedge that pronates the forefoot and unlocks the midfoot. Unlocking of the midffoot increasing the flexibility the foot which in turn allows the foot to adjust to uneven surfaces for better shock absorption and can decrease the stress on the foot. Pronation of the forefoot also induces heel eversion, which increases the stability of the foot and can decrease the risk of lateral ankle sprains.

Sprain guard may also relax the lateral ankle ligaments and allows healing of sprains and may decrease the risk of recurrent sprains
